AP E-News

This Sunday we begin a summer series that will have us focused on core truths of Scripture that Martin Luther used to develop his six chief parts of the Catechism.  We begin this week with the most basic truth of the Bible and that is - we worship God who describes himself as "triune," which means God is one but three separate and distinct persons - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.  What does this mean for us?  Come Sunday to hear and celebrate.

Prayer Notes:

- Let's join Michael and Alysa James in giving thanks to the Lord for his gift of a baby girl.  Olivette Scott James was born on June 5th.  We thank the Lord for keeping mom and baby safe during delivery and we ask for his blessing on them, especially in these early weeks after delivery.  Congratulations to the James family!

- "Christ Through Us" - A Pictorial History of the Wisconsin Synod is on display on the entryway table at Five Forks.  If you'd like a personal copy, please sign up.  The cost is $30.

- Sign up Sunday for the youth (rising 4th-12th) trip to Carowinds and Carolina Harbor (waterpark) that is planned for Friday, July 11.  Cost is $40 if we get 15 people to go.

- See a summary report on Sunday of the Congregational Meeting that was held last Sunday.

- A summer July Bible study begins on the 2nd - to be held Wednesday evenings at 7:00 p.m.  More details are coming soon, but mark your calendars.
