Good afternoon and greetings from Pastor/Teacher conference,
The called workers of Abiding Peace are thankful that the congregation sees the benefits of continuing education, and the importance of connecting with other called workers in the South Atlantic District ,that it provides support for us to attend conferences like we are this week. Thank you!
This Sunday at AP Five Forks we continue looking at "Portraits of Faith" that Scripture reveals to us. This week we see that thankful believers (last week's focus) are also prayerful ones. A believer prays. Come Sunday to look at some great examples and what we can learn about prayer.

Prayer Notes:
- Let's pray for the proclamation of God's Word and that it works powerfully in the hearts and lives of people - bringing peace and strength to those who believe, and drawing those who do not yet believe to faith in our Savior Jesus.
Other Notes:
- Sign up Sunday to help with Pumpkinfest, which is next Saturday (10/25). We have plenty of spots still open for you to volunteer to help with this community event.
- If you have some candy for our AP Easley "Treats on the Streets" event that will be next Friday, please bring it this Sunday. Thank you!
- Food Pantry donations continue. Help fill Thanksgiving boxes with your donations of canned corn or beans, stuffing mix, gravy, and Jiffy corn muffin mix.
- Women's Bible study meets Saturday morning (9 am) at Kim Gnewuch's house.
- 20s/30s is meeting Saturday for a hike and then stopping at Swamp Rabbit brewery afterward. Contact Vicar Charlie.
- Wednesday Bible study (6:15 p.m.) begins next week (10/22) at Five Forks. What does it mean to be part of a Lutheran church? Come and study the core truths that we proclaim and put into practice at AP.
