Good morning and greetings from Abiding Peace,
Our “God 101” theme reminds us that our triune God who saves the “worst of sinners” remarkably uses sinners to proclaim his saving name.
The Holy Ministry is filled with people whom God called out of his boundless mercy. Nothing else could explain the choices for ministers that God made! He calls such sinful and weak men to minister. Only mercy can explain the men he chose in this Sunday’s lessons: a despised tax collector, an exiled killer, a persecutor of Christians. How poignant these lessons are, when we remember that each lesson was penned by the unworthy minister called into service by God’s boundless mercy!

Prayer Notes:
- Jen Stoltenberg and Ryan Frazierr are getting married on June 16th. We ask the Lord to bless the day with joy and happiness as Jen and Ryan make their promises to each other. May his love and faithfulness shine in their marriage and fill them with love and contentment.
- We ask the Lord to grant safe travels to all those who are traveling home today from the South Atlantic District Convention that wraps up today. We thank the Lord for gospel ministry and the blessing of service in his kingdom and for all who serve.
Other Notes:
- You are invited to a Congregational Meeting on Sunday (between services). Board elections, APA Ministry Plan, and time for Q and A are on the agenda.
- We are having a "Red, White, and Blue" 4th of July celebration on Sunday, July 5th. If you would like to help - we could use some donations of strawberries, blueberries, and volunteers to scoop ice cream and yogurt after each service.
- A hike is planned for June 20th. See Sunday's folder for more details.
